The FX45 is (we are not making this up) a "Bionic Cheetah" We assume that Bionic Cheetah beat out "Mechanical Marsupial," which would have been our choice.

This also means, of course, that for serious off-roading the FX45 is not worth a cheetah's furball. Or we assume it's not, since Infiniti didn't let us take it off-road during our day's drive.

Yes, at 65.0 inches high, it does stand some seven inches taller than a Ford Taurus station wagon. And at 189.1 inches long, it is about eight inches shorter than the Taurus wagon. So the FX does possess proper SUV proportions.

The Infiniti FX35 is a stylish 'Supernatural Cheetah' designed sport utility vehicle with a strong emphasis on 'sport'. The FX35 is available in front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive configurations. A 303-hp 3.5-liter V6 sends power through a new electronically controlled 7-speed automatic transmission that features a manual shift mode and downshift rev-matching.
